Winnie the Pooh – Lyrics

Winnie the Pooh

From Winnie The Pooh and the Honey Tree
Written by: Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman

Deep in the hundred acre wood where Christopher Robin plays
You’ll find the enchanted neighborhood of Christopher’s childhood days
A donkey named Eeyore is his friend and Kanga and little Roo
There’s Rabbit and Piglet and there’s Owl, but most of all Winnie the Pooh

Winnie the Pooh
Winnie the Pooh
Tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff
He’s Winnie the Pooh
Winnie the Pooh
Willy nilly silly old bear

Winnie the Pooh
Winnie the Pooh
Tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff
He’s Winnie the Pooh
Winnie the Pooh
Willy nilly silly old bear

Tigger’s Song

From Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too
Written by: Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman
Performed by: Paul Winchell (Tigger)

The wonderful thing about Tiggers
Is Tiggers are wonderful things
Their tops are made out of rubber
Their bottoms are made out of springs
They’re bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy
Fun, fun, fun, fun, FUN!
But the most wonderful thing about Tiggers
Is I’m the only one

The wonderful thing about Tiggers
Is Tiggers are wonderful chaps
They’re loaded with vim and with vigor
They love to leap in your laps
They’re bouncy, trouncy, flouncy pouncy
Fun, fun, fun, fun, FUN
But the most wonderful thing about Tiggers
Is I’m the only one.

Tiggers are wonderful fellahs.
Tiggers are awfully sweet.
Everyone elses is jealous,
And thats why I repeat…

The wonderful thing about Tiggers
Are Tiggers are wonderful things
Their tops are made out of rubber
Their bottoms are made out of springs
They’re bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy
Fun, fun, fun, fun, FUN!
But the most wonderful thing about Tiggers
Is I’m the only one.
Yes, I’m the only one
(GRRrrrrrr…) ooOOoooOOooooOOOO!!!

Up, Down And Touch The Ground

When I up, down and touch the ground
It puts me in the mood,
Up, down and touch the ground
In the mood for food

I am stout, round and I have found
Speaking poundage wise
I improve my appetite
When I exercise

I am short, fat and proud of that
And so, with all my might
I up, down and up, down to
My appetite’s delight

While I up, down and touch the ground
I think of things to chew, like honey
With a hefty happy appetite
I’m a hefty happy Pooh

With a hefty happy appetite
He’s a hefty happy Pooh

A Rather Blustery Day

Hum, dum, dum, dee, dee, dum
Hum, dum, dum
Oh the wind is lashing lusterly
And the trees are thrashing thrusterly
And the leaves are rustling gusterly
So it’s rather safe to say
That it seems that it may turn out to be
It feels that it will undoubteadly
Looks like a rather blustery day today
It seems that it may turn out to be
Feels that it will undoubteadly
Looks like a rather blustery day today

Rumbly In My Tumbly

Hum dum de dum, hum dum de dum
I’m so rumbly in my tumbly
Time to munch an early luncheon
Time for something sweet

Oh I wouldn’t climb this tree
If a Pooh flew like a bee
But I wouldn’t be a bear then
So I guess I wouldn’t care then

Bears love honey and I’m a Pooh bear
So I do care, so I’ll climb there
I’m so rumbly in my tumbly
Time for something sweet

I don’t need a pot of honey
I’d be greatful for a platefull
When I’m rumbly in my tumbly
Then it’s time to eat

– additional verse –

It’s the tasteful thing to do
Be it ten or twelve or two
For anytime is food time
When you set your clock on Pooh time

Bears love honey and I’m a Pooh bear
So I do care, so I’ll climb there
I’m so rumbly in my tumbly
Time for something sweet to eat

Little Black Rain Cloud

I’m just a little black rain cloud
Hovering under the honey tree
I’m only a little black rain cloud
Pay no attention to little me
Ev’ryone knows that a rain cloud
Never eats honey, no, not a nip
I’m just floating around over the ground
Wondering where I will drip

Oh, ev’ryone knows that a rain cloud
Never eats honey, no, not a nip
I’m just floating around over the ground
Wondering where I will drip

The Kanga-Roo Hop

Chorus:
The Kanga-Roo Hop!
The Kanga-Roo Hop!
The Kanga-Roo Hop!
The Kanga-Roo Hop!
Everybody do like Kanga and Roo
Wherever you’re going, go boing! boing! boing!
Yeah, everybody do it
Come over and hop to it
Stop layin’ there like you’re asleep
Don’t let your courage fail ya
Pretend you’re in Australia
Now do just like a kangaroo and take the leap

Repeat Chorus once

Start bouncin’ like a pogo
‘Cause sittin’ still’s a no go
The rhythm is the best of swings
Your heart is really thumpin’
Yeah, now the place is jumpin’
‘Cause everybody’s dancin’ like their feet are springs

Repeat Chorus once

Now wait…
Now bounce! Bounce! Bounce! Bounce! Bounce!
Be sure to count your bounces
(Be sure to count your bounces)
‘Cause the amounts of the bounces is
What counts-es

Repeat Chorus once

Everybody do like Kanga and Roo
Wherever you’re going, go boing! boing! boing

That’s What Tiggers Do Best

It’s a rather funny habit,
Tiggers like to pounce on Rabbit
As he works out in his garden unaware
He’ll ask, “How are you, Long Ears?”
as they romp through his tomateers
But that’s what Tiggers do best
Yes, they’re always where they shouldn’t be
I don’t know why he wouldn’t see
It’s so much fun to jump a plump Pooh bear

Now Tiggers are a fearless breed
Their bravery only matched by speed
But there’s a quality they seldom show
They’re sensitive and quiet as they raise a ruckus riot
Yes, that’s what Tiggers do best

“Now Tigger, don’t you be absurd,”
Piglet can be often heard
“Be careful, don’t throw caution to the wind
Don’t fly a kite on a blustery day”
“Don’t worry, Buddy Body,” he’s say
That’s what Tiggers do best

Everyone will be a runnin’
When the Hundred Acre’s floodin’
You might see a bear float by
But not a Tigger, I’ll tell you why…

They’re quite a critter, those furry beasts
Why, to himself he’s a mystery
He cannot think of one thing he can’t do
Be it climbing trees or bouncing games
It doesn’t matter, it’s all the same
That’s what Tiggers do best
Yes, that’s what Tiggers do
It doesn’t matter how or who
That’s what Tiggers do best
